Jeff Teitel

President and Founder

Jeff began his professional career in his family’s manufacturing business where he started as a machine operator. Due to the early passing of his father, Jeff quickly advanced into sales and became the top sales producer.  After working his way up to Vice President, one of Jeff’s responsibilities was to secure insurance coverage for the company. This initial exposure to the insurance industry would spark his interest. Jeff came to realize that his skills would be best utilized as an insurance consultant.

Jeff began his new career in 1987 surrounding himself with insurance and risk management professionals while studying at night to obtain both his producer’s and his consultant’s license. Jeff founded JAT Consulting in 1996; he negotiated and manuscripted language for his clients to provide them with a platform to properly protect their assets. He also created and implemented risk management programs to reduce his clients’ premiums, broaden their coverage and help provide a safer and more productive work environment.  Jeff has experienced multiple market cycles, enabling him to better advise his clients on how to stay in front of the curve.

Jeff has worked with numerous companies, organizations, and industries; including but not limited to education, contractors, manufacturing and distribution, staffing agencies, and financial institutions.

Jeff’s high-energy approach ensures his clients are paying the most market-sensitive premiums with the broadest coverage available, with the benefit of having a full-time risk manager without the “full-time” cost.  With his 28 years of experience, Jeff can successfully address the ever-changing needs of his clients to position them in today’s complex economy.
